Freddys and Milady have moved in just in time to celebrate their first Christmas in their Habitat home. With a helping hand from their neighbor, Habitat homeowner Mariano, the couple unloaded a truck with their belongings and made their space their own.
Already a wreath graces their front door and a Christmas tree (found at Habitat ReStore) glows with colorful tiny lights. Milady wasted no time unpacking her kitchen. She eagerly gives guests a tour of their renovated 3 bedroom home on Lancaster’s South Christian Street.
Freddys and Milady earned much of their sweat equity hours–400, in total–working at our ReStore. These sweat equity hours also included taking financial literacy classes, learning home maintenance and working with a mentor.
Their home dedication will take place Saturday, Feb 8 at 10:00 a.m. at their new home at 320 S. Christian Street. All are welcome, but please RSVP, if you would like to attend. Contact rsvp@llhfh.org.
