Volunteers Return To Work

As Lancaster and Lebanon Counties move into the yellow phase through Governor Wolf’s reopening plan related to COVID-19, we are gearing up to welcome back our construction volunteers.

Beginning June 4th, volunteers may signup for shifts on our active work sites. The first day back to work will be Thursday, June 11th.

While we are thrilled to work alongside our dedicated volunteers again, this decision doesn’t come without serious thought and much planning for how we can keep our volunteers and staff safe from the coronavirus. Our team has created a comprehensive safety plan, based on recommendations from the CDC, OSHA and the PA Dept. of Health.

Some of the changes that will be implemented include a reduction of the number of volunteers on the work site, hourly hand washing breaks, and instruction for the disinfection of tools and shared spaces. Additionally, for the first time, volunteers will be allowed to bring their own tools to the work site.

If you are interested in volunteering, you will be asked to read, and follow, the full safety plan.
