Roy Hoglund of Newmanstown, Pa has been a Lebanon regular since the spring of 2008 after retiring from the federal government at the end of 2007. Roy wanted to do something useful and found interest in Habitat for Humanity. “I have always been a handy guy and thought it was a logical fit,” says Roy.
One of his favorite parts of volunteering is the opportunity to make someone’s life better. “I like being part of someone living a better life, and the people I have met while volunteering are terrific people.” Roy is part of the “Lebanon Wednesday Crew.”
When he is not volunteering, Roy enjoys wood carving birds, singing barbershop with the Lancaster Singing Cedars, and playing the trombone for his church’s band. Roy said volunteering with Habitat for Humanity has been a learning experience for him. “It is something I thoroughly enjoy doing.”
Thank you Roy for your years of dedicated volunteering to Lancaster Lebanon Habitat for Humanity!
